KBB.com Names Four Kia Vehicles as Top Eco-Friendly Cars

Earlier this year, editors from Kelley Blue Book's KBB.com recognized four Kia models as their top picks among eco-friendly cars under $40,000. The trustworthy consumer-focused automotive website put together three lists that spotlighted vehicles with various alternative fuel powertrains that are still within most drivers' budgets.

The 2017 Kia Niro and 2017 Kia Optima Hybrid earned places on the "10 Best Hybrid Cars Under $40,000," while the 2017 Kia Soul EV made the "5 Best Electric Cars Under $40,000" and the 2017 Kia Optima PHEV rated among the "5 Best Plug-In Hybrid Cars Under $40,000."

In a press release, Orth Hedrick, Vice President, Product Planning, Kia Motors America, stated, "We’re very proud of the strides the Kia brand has been making to achieve its goal of increasing electrification and improving overall fuel economy by 2020. Having four of our vehicles recognized by Kelley Blue Book as top ‘eco-friendly’ choices validates our priorities to the environment as well as our efforts to maximize affordability."
