Learning The Importance of Winter Wiper Blades
Our team here at Bill George’s Olathe Kia wanted to take this opportunity to help inform all of our buyers about the importance of having winter wiper blades installed on your vehicle this season.
The arm of the summer blades is designed to only move rain. The arm is stronger in the winter blades because it has to move ice and snow load. The weaker summer blade will bend if moving snow, resulting in the rubber of the blades no longer contouring to the shape of the windshield. The result, you won’t be able to see because the glass will have streaks and smears in your direct line.
The summer blades will not be able to function correctly in winter because of ice and snow. The winter blades are enclosed inside a rubber case, which is going to protect all the moving parts from the elements and allow you to see clearly when driving.
